Glenn Kirkwood and Craig Hopkins hold the Championship trophy aloft
Not a classic by any stretch of the imagination, and Heanor were lucky to claim the three points as Blackwell outplayed them at times. Some poor Blackwell finishing and heroic goalkeeping from Neil West saw the Lions home though, much to the delight of the Town Ground faithful.
The only goal of the game came from JOSH ROYCE right on half-time. A Jake Vernon free kick from the edge of the box was well parried by Wayne Smith in the Welfare goal, but Heanor's no. 8 reacted quickest and prodded home the loose ball from close range.
