Brett Marshall's north Notts outfit added more woes to troubled Town - and although the game was not the greatest ( to say the least), it was great to meet up with Rob Waite again ( we've seen more of each other so far this season than we did the whole of the last campaign), Adam Barlow, Brian Dennett (inevitably) and Danny Staley. Had a chat to Brett before kick-off - he seems very upbeat abut the coming season, and looking at how his NCEL Premier team got the better of their Evo-Stik opponents, you can see why.
Not too much to write about - the first goal in the 14th minute from NATHAN MILLINGTON, was a scuffed volley that left Hucknall keeper James Lindley flat footed and rooted to the spot - the second in the 76th minute was a superb solo effort from BRADLEY WELLS - a strong run down the left, a cut into the box and a shot across Lindley into the net. F-T 0-2
Hucknall's plight is now well known - the have announced they have no money to pay players or management - and if some of the players on show tonight decide to up sticks, they will surely be strong favourites for the drop......
Attendance - not many - and when Town's plight has been so well aired and a decent turn out would have put a few extra bob in the pot, the Hucknall public still stayed away.
Rob Waite will do a much better report on his the66pow blog... this was probably one game too many for me this week... creative juices are not flowing at all !!
