Both these clubs are going through tough times - Eastwood lie at the foot of the Blue Square North, while Hucknall, although doing the job on the pitch in the Evo-Stik Div 1 South, have a few off field problems. If you believe what you read on various websites and forums, both clubs are apparently skint.
Too cold to take notes, and after a recent goal glut I have to admit I was quite pleased this game wasn't too good, and only contained one incident to remember. That was the 54th minute goal that gave Eastwood an away trip to Carlton in the semi-final - a cross from MARKELLE BAILEY from the left wing that deceived everyone in the Hucknall area, before nestling in the inside side netting.
Hucknall hit the bar late on, and as the temperature plummeted we were praying that the game wouldn't go into the dreaded extra-time. Eastwood kept their heads though, and with Dave Haggerty imperious at the heart of their defence, the Badgers held on to record the victory. F-T 0-1
